You are kindly invited to complete the Registration
Form. Please be careful to include all the requested information.
While we are aware that the compilation of the form may be somewhat
time-consuming, it will however be crucial for building the on-line
scientific community specialized in Social Representations, which
is in all of our interests for future shared use.
NO MORE THAN ONE ABSTRACT FORM FOR EACH
AUTHOR (as first author) WILL BE ACCEPTED. All participants,
interested in having their contributions integrated in the Proceedings
of the 9th ICSR 2008, must be registered by 30th April 2008.
Please note that ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FORM
IS INTEGRATED IN THE REGISTRATION PROCEDURE. In order to facilitate
the completion of the Abstract Submission, you are advised to follow
the instructions given:
If you intend present a contribution in
one of the five options (Symposia (S) , Thematic Discussion Group
(TDG) and Round Tables (RT), Poster Interactive Session (PIS), Free
Contribution FC), please select your role within the conference
as 'SPEAKER' in the Registration Form.
CHOOSE ONE OF THE FIVE OPTIONS PROVIDED
FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION, and in case you intend to contribute to
Symposia (S) , Thematic Discussion Group (TDG) or Round Tables (RT),
please INDICATE IN ADDITION ALSO THE ROLE YOU INTEND TO PLAY, i.e.
Organiser/Contributor.
After you have successfully completed
the registration form, the system will then automatically select
the form which is specific to your option.
If you are an "ORGANIZER" of Symposia (S)
, Thematic Discussion Group (TDG) and Round Tables (RT), you are
advised to COLLECT AND INSERT INDIVIDUAL ABSTRACTS FROM YOU and
PARTICIPATING COLLEAGUES, THEIR NAMES and AFFILIATION, AS WELL AS
AN INTEGRATED ABSTRACT WHICH IS REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SESSION AS
A WHOLE, ALSO INDICATING KEY WORDS AND THEMATIC AREA.
If you are a "CONTRIBUTOR" within Symposia
(S) , Thematic Discussion Group (TDG) and Round Tables (RT), you
need only to COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION FORM, PREPARE YOUR ABSTRACT
FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW and SEND IT SEPARATELY VIA E-MAIL
TO THE ORGANIZER, who will be responsible to collect and insert
all individual abstracts from participating colleagues, as well
as an integrated abstract which is representative of the session
as a whole (see above).
If you wish to present a Poster Interactive
Session (PIS) or Free Contribution (FC), you need only to complete
the REGISTRATION FORM and the applicable form for submitting your
abstract which will appear during the registration form once you
select your role and your registration is successfully completed.
You are advised that as part of the abstract
form, you will be requested to insert a brief summary (of NO MORE
THAN 300 WORDS IN ENGLISH); therefore it would be advisable to have
prepared this prior to completing the application.
The text must be clearly structured, containing
enough information concerning the nature of the work and including
e.g., the following items: introduction, objectives, hypotheses,
method, results, discussion and conclusion.
When you will submit the abstract, you will have
also to indicate at least three key words and thematic
area.
For each of the five presentation types
(S, TDG, RT, PIS, FC), if the proposed contribution will
be accepted and the participant regularly registered by 31st January
2008, the author will also submit the full text of
his/her individual contribution, prepared according to the Norms
for Submission of Papers, uploading the file via the 9thICSR web
site by 31st May 2008.
Each participant will also upload the file of his/her
power point presentation IN ENGLISH-
via the 9thICSR web site - in advance the conference by
31st May 2008.
Norms for submission of PAPERS
- The presentation of the full contribution
should be prepared camera ready copy. The text
of the contribution must be written in Word for Macintosh
or Windows, submitted in editable PDF format,
double space, in Times New Roman type, size 12, justified, with
3 centimetres of margin in each of its four sides, letter size
paper.
- The text should include no more than 10,000 words.
- The title in the English, French and
Spanish as the native language of the author(s).
Full title in English, when the language of the
contribution is in other language (Please remember that the ICSR
official languages are English, French and Spanish).
- Full name of each author (FAMILY NAME in Capital
letter, Name in lower case), followed by the name of the
Institution.
- Full Name of the CONTACT author to whom any
comments regarding the work's evaluation should be communicated,
with his/her full address, including the e-mail address.
- Summary in English in addition to the Summary
in the language of the text, if in French or Spanish.
- The key words in English.
- The text must be clearly structured, containing the following
items: introduction, objectives, hypotheses, method, results,
discussion and conclusion.
- If the document includes tables, graphs, illustrations or photographs, these must be clearly inserted in the text.
- The use of footnotes should be avoided, wherever
possible. When they are used they should be numbered consecutively
throughout the article and typed separately at the end of the
text.
- References
Bibliographical references should be incorporated into the text, using the author-date system, with page numbers where necessary e.g. Jodelet (1989). All references should be listed alphabetically at the end of the article with the date appearing immediately after the author's name and initials.
In the case of a journal article (see below) the reference should also include the title of the article, the name in full of the journal in which it appears together with the volume and issue number and the inclusive page numbers.
